Soldiers line up in their ranks with a new grin on their face. As they eye there opponents, they unsheathe their brand new Iron blade, ready and eager to slash their enemy to a red river. The introduction of iron allowed for more sturdy, long lasting, and bigger durable weapons. Because it is a more sturdy metal that is more easily welded, new weapons could now be built, such as swords. Axes, and spears were improved. Swords could also be longer and tools would last longer. With more sturdy weapons and more malleable metals. Egyptian soldiers could improve their battle axes. Because of iron, swords could be used, they took over the ever popular spear in Egypt.
Compound bows were an intimidating weapon with a range. With squadrons of archers at the bow ready and aimed, to unleash a storm of arrows determined to puncture any armor and and mutilate the unfortunate soldier inside. The composite bow, a favored projectile shooting weapon, suited for long range assault, was extremely popular in many war like civilzations. The compound bow separated itself from the others because of its long range and system of pulleys.
